Grandson was so excited to get this. He and a buddy are going to work on it together. We are all very happy with these kits.

Great crate idea and fun to do. Helps my daughter personalize her room.

This was fun and kept my daughter engaged. She says it was really fun and simple to do. It came an Awl to poke holes. It is very sharp. The point kept coming out of the handle and we had to ask her grandfather to help fix it to stay in place so she could finish the project. The stand was simple to use and the wires light up nicely. A helpful hint: she used a black colored pencil to color over the trace lines so you don’t notice them once the project is complete. We would recommend this project and prefer choosing the boxes vs not knowing what we may get.

Perhaps a smaller, USB-rechargeable battery pack (like the ones you get from conventions and subscriptions as "free gifts") would definitely be better than the AA battery packs. Other than that, my kids loved this project, and mounted them as "nightlights" near their beds.

Really cute and fun final result! But wish it came with extra caps — they’re not kidding about getting stuck, ours took a lot of prying!
